Payment, Cancellation, and Refund Policy
Payment Method for Delta Smart World Governed by Indian Law
At Delta Smart World, we strive to provide our guests with the highest standards of hospitality and convenience. To ensure seamless transactions, we have established a payment method that aligns with the legal framework of Indian law. The following outlines our payment policies and procedures.
Accepted Payment Methods
Credit/Debit Cards: We accept major credit and debit cards including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and RuPay. Guests can use their cards to make payments at the front desk, in restaurants, and for other services within the hotel premises.
Net Banking: We offer the option of net banking for guests who prefer to make payments directly from their bank accounts. This can be done through our secure online payment portal or at the front desk.
Unified Payments Interface (UPI): As a part of India’s digital payment revolution, we accept UPI payments. Guests can scan the QR code available at various payment points in the hotel or enter our UPI ID to transfer funds directly.
Cash Payments: In compliance with Indian regulations, we accept cash payments. However, per the guidelines of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), cash payments exceeding INR 2 lakh are not permissible for any single transaction to ensure transparency and prevent money laundering.
Billing and Invoice
Invoice Generation: Upon completion of a transaction, guests will receive a detailed invoice outlining the services availed, the amount charged, and applicable taxes. This invoice will be provided in both printed and digital formats, as per the guest’s preference.
Goods and Services Tax (GST): All transactions are subject to GST as mandated by Indian law. The applicable GST rates will be clearly mentioned on the invoice. Guests can also provide their GSTIN for business-related stays to avail of input tax credit.
Payment Receipt: Once a payment is processed, a receipt will be issued immediately. This receipt serves as proof of payment and should be retained by the guest for future reference.
Cancellation, Refund and Termination Policy
- Free-look Cancellation: The Client may cancel by signed written notice reaching the Company within 7 days of sign-up or realization of the Initial Payment, whichever is earlier. The Company shall refund the amount received within 30 business days after deducting: (a) actual administrative/processing costs, capped at 10% of the Total Cost; and (b) actual bank/payment-gateway charges levied on the Company. No further deduction shall be made. This right is not available once any booking or complimentary benefit has been availed.
- After expiry of the initial 7-day cooling-off period, the Client may request cancellation of the Package only if the Company fails to fulfil any material commitment expressly stated in the Package Agreement, subject to verification and approval by the Company. In case of approved cancellation, the refund shall be processed after deduction of 30% of the Total Package Cost and the applicable cost/value of any services, benefits, vouchers, bookings, or other Package benefits already availed or utilized by the Client. The eligible balance refund, if any, shall be processed only through the same mode of payment originally used by the Client, subject to applicable payment and banking procedures.
- Company’s Right to Terminate: The Company may terminate the Package where the Client (a) defaults in payment of Total Cost/ASF, after 15 days’ written notice and opportunity to cure; (b) breaches the Package Rules; or (c) commits, or whose guest commits, a criminal offence against another customer or Facility staff/premises, as established by competent authority or admitted by the Client. On termination under (a)/(b), the Company shall forfeit only the amounts permissible under Clause 8.2, refunding the balance within 30 business days; forfeiture of the entire Total Cost is permissible only under (c) or on proven fraud.
- Non-completion of payment within 24 months of the Down Payment shall entitle the Company to treat the Package as withdrawn after 15 days’ written cure notice.
Dispute Resolution
In case of any payment-related disputes, guests are encouraged to contact our customer service team immediately. We adhere to the guidelines laid out by the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, ensuring that any grievances are addressed promptly and fairly. If a resolution cannot be reached amicably, guests have the right to approach the consumer court as per Indian jurisdiction.
Data Security and Privacy
Delta Smart World is committed to protecting the personal and financial information of our guests. We comply with the Information Technology Act, 2000, and ensure that all data is encrypted and securely stored. Our payment gateways are PCI-DSS compliant, providing an additional layer of security.
Compliance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Laws
We adhere strictly to the AML guidelines set forth by the Financial Intelligence Unit-India (FIU-IND). Guests are required to present valid identification during check-in to comply with Know Your Customer (KYC) norms.
By following these payment methods governed by Indian law, Delta Smart World ensures a transparent, secure, and efficient transaction process for all our esteemed guests.
